Speech-Recognition Skills

For attorneys -- or anyone  who needs to write quickly

Speech Recognition programs were introduced in the late 90s.  Loudly and prematurely.  The programs "sort of worked."  But we spent a lot of time fixing errors.  Most of us tried it and went back to typing. .

Good news:   Speech recognition works extremely well now.  Far better than texting by voice.  You can get at least 90% accuracy, and at least 80 words per minute.  

Like to dictate into a handheld recorder???  More good news.  Your digital recorder can be plugged into a computer, and the text you dictated will "type" onto the page of a Microsoft Word document.
